What I am reviewing is Milton Keynes in general.
I moved to Milton Keynes three years ago for my job relocation for NatWest bank, I didn't know anything about Milton Keynes and I had never been here before in my life. The company was offering me a good deal to put me up for six months in a flat for me to think about staying so I thought why not.
My first impression after leaving the motorway was "my god there are a lot of roundabouts !" I noticed ... ...I had a map. Milton Keynes is made up of different estates, and when you get used to it the H and V roads do make life easier as they go through Milton Keynes to lead to various estates in the north, east, central, west and south.
With these grid roads are a lot of roundabouts, there are about 200ish and not many traffic lights, it makes the traffic more free flowing though.
There are plenty of things to do around Milton Keynes and I shall try ...

Advantages: Great shopping centre, big theatre, environmentally-conscious council Disadvantages: No character, hideous architecture, even worse sculptures
...I’ve never actually lived IN Milton Keynes (aside from one week in hospital for appendicitis), but Newport Pagnell, where I spent the first 18 years of my life is just outside.
Milton Keynes is a new town (30 years old give or take a couple) and is constantly trying to gain official city status, possibly to justify all those signs to ‘city centre.’ It has absorbed a number of older towns and villages and hence has some rather quaint ... ...What else is there to Milton Keynes?
First and foremost is the huge shopping centre. Occupying an ever-expanding patch of land in the centre of Milton Keynes, this under-cover shoppers paradise has just about everything you could wish for. All the main stores from John Lewis and Marks and Spencer to Next and Virgin, plus a large variety of smaller, more esoteric establishments, which sadly seem to change with the seasons as the rental prices soar ...

Milton Keynes area is East of Buckingham. The new town was originally meant to house about a quarter of a million people in 1991.It takes in several villages,Woughton, Simpson and Loughton as well as Stony Stratford, on the A5.
Stony Stratford is where the" cock and ball "story came from, as it has a cock and ball inn.It is rich in history but like alot of areas, has been subject to fires in the 18th century.

Milton Keynes.. my home town.
At 21 years of age, I have to admit that I have spent many years shying away from admitting where I come from. Not now! I am proud now to say that I am from one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, and I can take any mocking that you throw at me (believe me, I've heard it all before!)
So why do I like it and what do I like about it? Milton Keynes, in my opinion, has a lot to offer for everyone. The obvious attractions ... ...Northampton, as 22 years ago Milton Keynes did not have its' own hospital. However, my parents were brought up in Wolverton and New Bradwell, and respectively I am a "Braddle" girl, save for my parents' 18 month stint "over the hill" in Bradville when I was very young. So, as I have grown up, this small town has grown around me into the vast area it is today. Firstly, let me tackle this stereotypical view of the road system in MK. Yes, the roads ...

Don't get me wrong, Milton Keynes is a very nice place, but at the end of every road is a roundabout. All the roads seem to be in straight lines. Apart from that, it is an excellent place for shopping. The shopping centre is all under cover and there are lots of shops to go shopping in. It has a large parking area too, which is good as the centre is so big.
It has lots of parks which a beautifully looked after. One has an oriental theme with pagodas ...
