Advantages: beautiful lobby, great facilities, nice rooms, fantastic staff, very clean and safe
Disadvantages: some of the evening entertainment wasnt brilliant, magnetic key alters watches!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hotel Minos ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As we scoured through the Thomson travel brochure looking for a holiday destination we saw a nice looking hotel which was situated in Rethymno on the Greek island of Crete. The recently refurbished Minos hotel is a four star hotel and is situated 150m from the beach. The pictures of the hotel looked lovely so we booked two rooms for 10 days in August. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arrival ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Minos hotel is about an hours drive from the airport in Heraklion. The coach dropped us at a busy roundabout where we were pointed in the direction of the hotel entrance. The entrance to the hotel is up a reasonably steep slope and as there was not enough room to get the coach up there we had to carry our luggage up to the hotel. Review of hotel minos

Aghios Nikolaos - the place to holiday-os!

Advantages: Picturesque, friendly, great weather
Disadvantages: Nightlife fairly quiet

My boyfriend and I were looking for a fairly cheap holiday abroad over summer in 2004 and particularly wanted to visit Crete as we like the culture, friendliness and food it offers. Aghios Nikolaos (AgNik) is no exception to the rule. We booked thorugh Kosmar to stay in the Dilina Rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. On first approaching the 'hotel' in the middle fo the night we were quite worried that it was a bit of a shed, however, after sleeping then waking in the morning for breakfast we were warmly welcomed by the owners - Nikki and her husband ( I forgot his name). Breakfast consisted of bread and cakes with jam and butter, juice, tea and coffee to drink. One day a week Nikki went to market and served fruits and on a Sunday she brought some different breads from church. The personal touch was really sweet ...

anastasia beach hotel

Advantages: fantastic staff, lovely hotel
Disadvantages: ants in the bathroom

Cyprus was'nt my 1st choice for a hoiday this year, but Ruth my partners sister telephoned us in August 2004 to say she was getting married abroad in July 2005, and would we like to attend. Of course we said yes and so the task of booking in to the same hotel on the same board status began. Cols sister was traveling with Thomas Cook, so I called them ''no room'' they said '' Oh no'' I said. So on to my trusted PC, entered the name of the hotel in too a search engine and walla - a few moments later we was booked all inclusive in to the Anastasia Beach Hotel. After negotiating Larnaca airport, we located our taxis for the transfer and off we went through barren countryside along a stretch of road that was apparently a Motorway, two lanes and a speed restriction of 100km an hour.
