Advantages: Relaxing, chilled, quaint, beautiful, Sark nearby Disadvantages: Easy to put on weight! And it might be too quiet for some people
....
Guernsey is quite sport-oriented and has so many sports facilities dotted around the place, with the biggest probably being BeauSejour leisure centre. This has a gym, badminton/tennis/squash courts and a big swimming pool- everything you woud expect. Also, at certain times of the year, the swimming pool is turned 'fun' and the really cool slides open, tonnes of floats are thrown in the pool, and a giant inflatbale is put in the middle. This is so much fun, as you line up behind the inflatable and one at a time, people jump, crawl and shimmy their way along th very wobbly obstacle course floating on the water, culminating with a slide at the end, and sometimes the lifeguards aim hose pipes at you. This is so much fun, especially when you see other people fall off quite spectacularly!
As another reviewer pointed out, yes the cows are very cute...

Advantages: Too numerous to list - try it for yourself! Disadvantages: Can be expensive
.... On one hand there are ancient monuments and buildings (for example Trepied Dolmen and St Appoline's chapel) yet down the road you might find the offices of an international finance house or bank. Outdoor activites are popular with visitors (grockles!!) and locals alike - you can walk, swim, surf, ride, play golf, fish... the list is almost endless. When the weather is good it's very, very good and the beaches are the place to be. On the grey days (let's face it, you're not THAT far from good old Blighty!) there are museums and art galleries and the BeauSejour leisure centre to fill the hours. The weather CAN be a bit "hit and miss" so it's worth checking out alternatives just in case rain/fog spoil your plans.
Eating out on Guernsey is a pleasure - there is so much choice. Some of my favourite places are Crabby Jacks (on the coast...

Advantages: different from the beach life, plenty to see, not too hot, u see a lot of green Disadvantages: none !
...'t light a fire!).
This place is nice to visit is you decide to go in a trip to explore and rlax! The shops sell traditional things and there are small kiosks where you can buy a lot of cypriot things and takw with you. Don't expect to find a club and go out at night! There aren't any clubs like in Agia Napa.
This is an excellent place for older people to go, as I have noticed, old couple go and stay in a hotel in Troodos as they want to relax. Younger people with little kids, would prefer to have their holidays near the beach! There are a lot of Hotels to stay, like Forest Park hotel , Pendeli Hotel, Minotel New Helvetia etc.
If you are thinking having your holidays in Cyprus, don't leave without visiting Troodos! I recommend going up there! It is very easy to go if you rent a car a drive there, you won't get lost, just have a map...
