INTRODUCTION
One day mid March an invitation to my boyfriends work ball arrived on our doormat. The ball was to held at the prestigious Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel, a world renowned luxurious Marriot hotel in the heart of London. Not far from Covent Garden, I was treating this beautiful hotel as a little weekend getaway. By means of an introduction I would say my feelings are mixed, and here are the reasons why.

BOOKING
Through the boyfriend?s work we could get a special rate to stay at the hotel, which was hugely appreciated. I instantly went to the website to book a room. However, upon visiting www.renaissancechancerycourt.co.uk I found that the code for a room would not work. Therefore we decided to pay a visit to the hotel itself. When we entered ...
Advantages: A comfy hotel in a good location. Disadvantages: Poor sausages at breakfast and no disable access.
Court Hotel, which can be found at 31 St. Mary's, York. We walked from the Railway station, via a drink at the Maltings pub for a drink on the way. The best way to get from the station by foot is to turn left out of the station and go across Lendall Bridge, go along Museum Street, turn down St. Leonards Place, turn down Bootham and go along there (past Marygate) and St. Mary's will be on your left. Due to our train being earlier we checked in earlier than ...
Advantages: Size And Amazing Architecture Disadvantages: Foundations where a bit scary for me
I love york and whenever possible go for a weekend. Whilst there I always visit York Minster and usually stay in an Inn a few feet away directly facing the Minster. The first thing that strikes you is the size of it and the fabulous architecture (it's over 500 feet wide and has a central tower almost 200 feet high). Visitors come from all over the world to admire York Minster Cathedral.
Whilst you are looking around the Minster bear in mind it took over 250 years to complete and the only devices they had then were simple levers, pulleys and hoists. Lots of Masons and Carpenters spent their entire working lives just helping to construct York Minster.
In the year 306A.D. Constantine was proclaimed Emperor in a ceremony which took place on the sight of the future Minister, there is a statue of him looking very Imperial outside ...
