I had cause to travel to London last week with business from Manchester to attend a seminar within the financial district. Upon being told this by my manager with about 2 weeks notice, I was faced with the dilemma of arranging my travel itinery. Effectively, I was faced with 3 options:
1. Drive, which didn't exactly fill me with excitement at the thought of a 600 mile round trip to attend a 4 hour seminar.

Advantages: Learn about the history of USA Disadvantages: Out of the way; not the type of place you would go just for a holiday
...Mount Rushmore and South Dakota are not the most obvious places to visit when going on holiday to the USA. However, on my honeymoon last year, I was lucky enough to experience this landmark and I can definitely say that it is worth it. At first you don't think that you will spend much time at Mount Rushmore, after all once you've seen the presidents heads cut into the rock, you've seen it. But in true American style they give you plenty to do while you are there. Yes, there are many different views of the rock face but it is also a learning experience. There is lots to read about the four presidents themselves and about how the project was conceived, developed and how things are changing today. It is also fascinating to find out exactly how they managed to carve such realistic faces into the rock and why the heads are facing...

Considering I travel on the London Underground at least 6 days a week, it seemed fitting that I came across this category to write under. On top of that, two years ago I spent two days raising money for St Helena Hospice by visiting all of the 275 stations on the network. By the way, if anyone ever feels the urge to do that, I would certainly recommend it as it is great fun. When I did it I wasn’t working to any time schedule but you may want to try and do it in the shortest time as possible for example. However, be aware that this may be affected by any engineering works or delays experienced.
