I stayed at the Hotel Miramalfi on my honeymoon, we left home the day after our wedding and travelled to Amalfi. I have never, in my life been so tired - so wanted to sleep, sunbathe and spend quality time with my husband!
The first thing to know about this hotel is that the nearest hotel is Naples which is a €80 taxi ride away and not only is it an expensive trip it is terrifying. Combine the hair pin bends with Italian boy racers who think they ... ...the blind corners! Top tip - arrive in Naples early and take the boat for €10 and arrive in Amalfi in style.
The hotel is situated approximately 10 - 15 minutes walk up the hilll from Amalfi town or a short, cheap taxi ride. It has 4* but I think it is better than the 5* hotel just up the hill. The location is perfect - you are removed from town so don't get the noise of thousands of tourists but you can still walk to town easily for meals etc. ...
