As a first year student new to the city of Liverpool I made my first venture out to the wonderful Modo in September…and have been in love with its atmosphere and attitude ever since! Visiting Modo has been a staple of our nights out since the very first visit, and this is why.
During the day Modo is light and airy, with seating outside in Concert Square (if the weather allows it) However, since I have been in Liverpool I have seen the chairs out in Concert Square only once! They offer the usual drinks of cocktails, larger and wine, but in addition to this they sell paninnis and other smaller lunch time snacks. These are reasonably priced, depending on the filling around £3.99 for a paninnis.
The Modo spirit really comes to life after 6 o'clock, when it turns into the classiest cocktail bar in town. What I find particularly impressive is the offers they weekdays, 2 for 1 cocktails. This means £2.95 will get you two drinks. To make this deal even better they have an impressive drinks list, ranging from the rather sickly 'Raspberry Ripple' which consists of white chocolate liquor, cream and cassis, to the classic 'Long Cosmopolitan' using vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice and a dash of fresh lime.
Overall, I would rate Modo highly, for it offers great prices and more importantly a great atmosphere. With the cocktail promotions leaving with a smile is almost guaranteed!

The only thing this lacks for me is the directions how to get there! (sounds like a great place to get together ~ I'll have to ask my son if he used to go here)! As long as the information required is there and it is well personalised, you don't need a literary essay! ~ ~ .................................................................................................... ~ ♥ ~ jes ~ ♥♥
