Molino de Guatiza Apartments, Costa Teguise

These apartments are situated in Costa Teguise in Lanzarote and whilst basic they are clean and comfortable and provide excellent value for money. When you arrive please note that most of the staff do not speak English and a few words in Spanish will be much appreciated! You will also need to ask for a key for the safety deposit boxes located in each apartment and there is a refundable deposit for this.

Our apartment had a sea view (you may have to specify this when you book), but most of the rooms all face towards the pool which means if you are on the top floor the view of the sea is an added bonus! We went out of season in May and the staff were wonderful. There is a small bar on the pool terrace that does snacks and breakfasts during the high season.

The town centre is an easy walk away and while this is rather english-ised it does have two or three handy supermarkets for stocking up on essentials. Costa Teguise itself is not the best place to learn about this amazing island. For that you will need to hire a car, which I highly recommend you do as there is so much to see on the island. Costa Teguise is ideally situated for easy access to the whole island.

Just one word of warning: the pool is not heated. This may be fine in high summer but can give you quite a shock in spring! ;-)
