Heavenly stay at the Columbus Hotel Monaco

Within close walking distance to many parts of Monaco (and about 15 minutes walk away from Monte Carlo), the hotel feels pretty well located. Very close by is the Princess Grace Rose Garden which is ideal to sit and read or just enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. You are also very close to the sports stadium as well as within close walking distance of the stamp museum, zoo and the national car museum. Less than 5 minutes away is a shopping centre that features clothes shops, restaurants as well as a large branch of the French supermarket Carrefour ideal for stocking up on those essentials like water etc. Oh and of course there's a McDonalds restaurant in the same complex! The Monaco Hotel Faro

Advantages: close to airport and inexpensive
Disadvantages: some aircraft noise

The Monaco is situated in the Montenegro district of Faro only a stones throw from the airport. It is an ideal location if you have an early morning flight and would like a nights sleep before traveling. The hotel runs a regular shuttle to the airport for no extra charge and it is possible when checking in to arrange your own personal time if the timetable does not suit. The hotel is very comfortable and not very expensive. All rooms are pleasantly furnished and ensuite with tv and telephone plus mini bar and many have balconies. The outdoor pool is situated in pleasant gardens and enjoys sun most of the day. There is also an indoor pool and health spa open to residents. The dining room was being refurbished on my last visit in May 2007 so it was not possible to dine but on previous visits I have enjoyed some excellent meals ...

Monte Carlo - Monaco

Advantages: Beauty, Luxury and Class
Disadvantages: too expensive

snobbism or "nouveau riche" attitude. The only things they have to do are take care of themselves and have a good time. Escorted by their chauffeur they go play tennis, rejoin their yacht or go to the Hotel de Paris to meet their friends for tea. Monégasques pay very low taxes and I am sure if you didn't have to pay so many taxes yourself you could also afford an easy life!
