Monster Mash is an excellent budget diner style place where you can get a variety of bangers and mash dishes. It is located in Forrest Road,Edinburgh which is very near the Royal Museum and Museum of Scotland. I visited this place on my friends birthday September last year as we wanted to try something different and were all on a budget.

The staff were friendly and the place had an informal but inviting atmosphere. Drinks were very cheap and started from around £1.10 for a coke and less than £1.50 for a coffee. In terms of meals, you were able to customise what type of Sausages you would like and also what gravy and mash you would like with it. There are also alternative dishes to Bangers and mash but neither of us ordered that for obvious reasons since they specialise in Bangers and mash. The quality of their sausages is excellent as many of the sausages are sourced from Crombies-a local and nationally well known butcher. Portions are very generous and service is very quick too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone if they are after something different and something that won't burn a hole in your pocket.
