Advantages: Good location and access to other major hotels on the strip Disadvantages: nothing much in the hotel
The Monte Carlo is by no means the greatest hotel in Vegas. But the hotel itself is very stylish and extravagant compared to anywhere else in the world.
The reception area when you ariive is massive and impressive when you walk into the hotel. The staff are very well presented and they help you as fast as possible and make things very easy to get to your rooms.
The rooms are pretty basic for Las Vegas you get the usual ... ...and between there and the monte carlo you have the excalibur and luxor.
The only real problem for the monte carlo is going the other way you are within 15 mins walk of the Bellagio and Ceasars but the Stratosphere and treasure island along with the Vaneitian are more than that. But you can pay to go on the monorail from the MGM Grand to take you up and back from that end of the strip. You can venture to any hotel and its well worth ... more

The reception area when you ariive is massive and impressive when you walk into the hotel. The staff are very well presented and they help you as fast as possible and make things very easy to get to your rooms.
The rooms are pretty basic for Las Vegas you get the usual in room tv which connects to the internet. Telephone and guide to whats in during your stay at the hotel.
The rooms are well decorated and dont look shabby and the bathroom is huge and not at all cramped. Although the shower head does not allow you to get your head wet due to the angle its been put up on.
The casino is very nice and is great to have once you have been out for thevening but its not the biggest and nor does it have the great range of games. You can learn to play a card game for free during the hours of 11:30 and 1 every day which does help if you want to join in the excitement of the casino.
There is a shopping mall with various high class shops but they are a little expensive for what you get. There is a Mcdonalds, sub way, chinese resturant and takeaway as well as itaiian and pizza takeaways which is excellent for when your hungry at any piont of the day or night mostly.
The pool is very good for relaxing before you attempt to attack the hot weather and the packaed hotels and streets of Vegas. The lazy river is a must to take away the hangover of the night before.
The location of the of the hotel is ok on the strip as you are opposite the MGM grand and next to the New york New York. You are aprrox 15 mins walk from mandalay bay and between there and the monte carlo you have the excalibur and luxor.
You can venture to any hotel and its well worth going to as many as possible . Its also worth looking in the outlet stores across the road from the hotel for something to take back with you.
The view depending on your room is normally of some part of the Grand canyon and its an amazing veiw to say the least.
A great hotel to use to see the sights of Vegas but to also have a bit of style as well. You can expect to pay from 350 to 550 dollars for around 5/6 nights depending on who you are with and when you go.
Advantages: Location, cheaper rooms, All the basics Disadvantages: Not as glitzy as its neighbours
...here, you stay at the Monte Carlo because it is cheaper than the other hotels on the Strip and so you have more tokens to fritter in the casinos!
It has all the basics you need for a base from which to explore Fabulous Las Vegas!!
Make sure you spend some time in a rubber ring floating around the lazy river though as that is a perfect midday activity after a heavy night. Also the food in the hotel "pub" is good. I'd recommend the Gutbuster, but ...

Advantages: Excellent location near MGM Grand Disadvantages: Dated theme/decor
We stayed at the Monte Carlo resort hotel for 5 nights in June 2007. The hotel has an excellent location, is reasonably priced and has all the facilities you would expect. However the European theme is a little dated and the newer, larger resort casinos have better facilities and perhaps also have a bit more style and flair. The Monte Carlo is located at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, near to the more famous MGM Grand and the New York, New ... ...all your gambling. The Monte Carlo is part of the MGM Mirage group, which operates most of the casinos on the strip, and the players’ club card works in all of their casinos. You can quickly earn enough points for a free meal or a discounted show ticket.
The hotel has a pool area which includes a kids pool, a wave pool and a lazy river. I didn’t think any of the pools were particularly large, given the size of the hotel, and was particularly disappointed ...
