Quick review of Montecampione

One of the closest ski resorts to Milan Bergamo airport (Ryanair hub). Stretching from 1200mts to 1800mts. Very Italian and definate lack of English speakers. Mountain lodges and some modern lifts. Top station has a lovely view overlooking Alps. Excellent for beginners / intermediates. Advanced will get bored as it's not the largest resort although you can book off piste guides and Heliski. In short great value for money, good sking but a little low at 1200mts and night life is limited. I found this resort review page in English http://www.monticolo.it/montecampioneresort.html . ...

A charming town
No one (*)
Fairly cheap, good climate.
Little to do unless you make your own fun. (*)
Great location for the beginner, right through to the advanced skiers. Plenty of drinking holes and eateries.
1.75Hr Coach travel from airport to the resort not very nice, given the road conditions (snow) and the sheer cliffs the roads pass by :/ (*)
Romantic breathtaking scenery
Expensive (*)
Pretty village, great Mountain food at reassonable prices, very Italian
little for beginners or advanced skiiers, few English children in Ski school (*)
See something really unique

Snow-sure, friendly locals, good value food
Complex rather soulless (*)
Charming place - Lots to do in winter and summer
a bit far away from the international airports of Munich, Milan etc. (*)
At the moment - not a tourist trap
None that I can think of. (*)
