Me and my fiance went to Jamaica last year, and were the envy of all of our friends and family. It was simply two perfect blissful weeks of sheer beauty, luxury and being pampered.
We went to Jamaica in May, on average the temperature was about 87(f) which is around 30(c). We stayed in a beautiful hotel called The Jack Tar Village which was an all inclusive hotel. It's around 15 minutes away from the airport, there is a fair bit of aircraft noise with it being that close to the actual airport. The hotel is built on a private beach, and it's also on the "hip strip" The hotel room was nicely furnished with a sattilite TV, air conditioning, hairdrier an iron with an ironing board, clock/radio and a safety deposit box too. The hotel in itself boasts two swimming pools, one of them has a swim up bar and it also has a whirlpool bath. There is a buffet restaurant, late night snack bar, open til 01:00am, a main bar and a Wok a'la carte restaurant which is open 5 nights a week.
We stayed in Montego Bay for two weeks. The are lots of things to see and do in Motego Bay, It really boasts a cosmopolitan atmoshere, there are loads of shops, bars and restaurants along the main resort area, it's more commonly known as "the hip strip" Whilst there we didn't do alot of things, we went Aqua Sol theme park, which was quite a good day out with slides and other things that you'd expect to see at a theme park! We also went for a day out to Ocho Rios to go and see Dunns river falls and even had the chance to climb up the whole 600 foot of them, be careful though, it is slippery! but we did have a paddle in the pools at the top, this excursion cost us around £40. After that we went on a helicopter ride around the rivers falls, and then went round the whole resort. But also whilst we were in Ocho Rios we went swimming with the dolphins, it was such a relaxing and amazing experiance, this cost us around £50.
The whole of Mo' Bay boasts beautiful scenery and breath taking landscapes too, it's well worth a visit, the people just can't do enough for you and at a push you could say that they are too overfriendly.
