While visiting Blackpool at weekend I thought why not go through a place the locals call Morecambe. Mmmm opens your eyes don't it. A town that apart from the paths along the beach (well there it a bit of sand there) hasn't had a spot of paint since the germans painted the town red in the 40's. Everywhere is so old, mucky in colour. Even the hotel on the main road looks as though it wants to slide into the sea unnoticed, just to escape one assumes. I wasn't impressed. If your bag is to sing in the local pubs/bars/dark alleys then you will be in heaven as you will if a nice pair of wrap around sunglasses for 1.99 has been your ideal present for your other half. Morecambe has only way into it and one way out, unless you count jumping into the sea as a escape route. In a word empty, in two, very empty. One final thought, where is their football team in relation to Premier league football, (does it exist? is a another thought) I rest my case. Go to Blackpool you deserve to

Is it Wheelchair Friendly? How does it compare relative to other Seaside towns in the area with the exception of Blackpool? I am considering various places to visit with disabled members of my family and this op did not tell me anything to convince me of Morecambe's possibilities.

You told me nothing about Morecambe in yor review. Does it have any attractions, nightlife etc.
