Morecambe is a smallish seaside town off the Lancashire coast. It got really run down a few years ago but seems to be improving now. There is a fine cinema, bowling alley, swimming pool, etc. The beach has been cleaned up and when the sun shines there is no finer seaside resort.
Morecambe is better than blackpool if you have small children because its quieter and less expensive!
Don't forget to see Eric Morecambe's statue on the seafront when you go. It's Morecambe's only claim to fame! (Just joking of course!)
If you want an inexpensive meal go off the seafront and try one of the little cafes in the town itself. There are a couple of good ones near the Arndale Centre.
Enjoy yourself......just pray that it doesn't rain.
