Moroccan Apartments Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast MC

Advantages: location to public transport, burleigh township and markets
Disadvantages: nothing really

...We booked this accommodation as it was affiliated to my partners work and we were wanting to stay away from the high-traffic Surfers Paradise itself. It is situated only approx. 300m from Burleigh Heads township and very handy to shops and restaurants/cafes. It is around 50m walk to the ocean at the end of the avenue and handy to the Burleigh Heads Markets which are held on a regular basis on a Sunday. The accommodation itself was brilliant as was the service and the apartments come with all the items you would need in the kitchen to be self-supporting. Handy to buses into Surfers on the main road outside the complex itself and has its own pool and the apartments come with a carpark as well (secured). We were more than happy with our apartment and would not hesitate to book in there again!... Read review

Advantages: Sun, surf, sand, golden holiday

...Australia's Gold Coast really does have it all....golden sands, golden sunshine...a dream destination. What a place. One morning I looked out the window of our 22-storey apartment to see massive whales frolicking along in the Pacific Ocean, water plumes bursting into the air - no binoculars needed to see such an impressive but unexpected sight. Australia's ''Sunshine State'', on the eastern side of this huge country, takes in the area from around Brisbane, down to Tweed Heads in the south. At the heart is Surfers Paradise - 80 kilometres from Brisbane and about an hours drive from Brisbane's international airport. There's also another international airport at Coolangatta and while that is closer to Surfers Paradise it doesn't accommodate many international flights. Advantages: gorgeous beaches, clear seas, great weather

....5 anywhere in the island. They are very frequent and are not too overcrowded. Bridgetown, the islands capital is a must see, with lots of bargains to be had, particularly duty free. There is a harbour in the capital and during the evening there are a variety of bars and clubs. The capital also offers many local markets whereby you can take advantage of the gorgeous fresh fruit locals sell. The East Coast of the island is less commercialised and really is a must see. The coastal resort of Batheshaba is a surfers paradise and the rocky beaches offer contrast to the sandy beaches of the west and south coast. Overall, I would fully recommend Barbados. There is lots to do, and, if you make an effort to leave your resort the island is very varied and caters well for many people of all age ranges.... Read review
