Travel alot on Easyjet, Ryanair and any other carrier that will take us to where we want to go. Retired from working a Scheme Manager and lots of knocks on door to now knocking on doors of hotels.

I know the name has connotations so don't let it put you off but do if in Venice give it a try.
We go there every year on our Venice trip and have never felt out of it or disappointed.
Our first trip to Venice and we stayed in a hotel just along from the bar and it was a stopping off bar on the way back to the hotel, and has now become a regular drinking hole.
The name comes from the BIG mosquito that is hanging from the ceiling, (not real) and the adornments around the bar are tee-shirts with the creature on in various poses, print, languages and colour.
Mosquito Bar is a bar for any age, and nationality. We spent a great evening with a couple from Ireland that had just landed and who where looking for a bar for the rugby match the following evening, directions given knowledge imparted and a great time had by all.
Some nights it is busy with the college crowd, and when a little later they get singing it can be very contagious, so you just have to join in.
The music played in the bar is very to suite all age groups, style and tastes though it never appears to be overly loud.
They serve a good range of beers, Hogarden, Leffe and a dark beer plus a great array of wines and spirits and as you are off the main drag prices are not bad either. Food is also available, though we have not eaten there, only because we like the walk to find a restaurant.
Venice is the city to wander along in without any haste and purpose, but if along the Calle dei Fabbri, pop in and enjoy.
