Mount Edgecumbe is a large stately home that sits on its own estate, and was fir many years home to the Earl of Edgecumbe and his family. Sitting on the Rame Peninsula in south east Cornwall, it overlooks Plymouth; the River Tamar, and of course Plymouth Sound. Although it is actually on the Cornish side of the rover, it is in fact jointly owned by the respective county and city councils of both Cornwall and Plymouth.
