Mount Faber Cable Car, Singapore

Advantages: A great city full of things to see and do
Disadvantages: Perhaps not the best Asian city to visit for the full far eastern experience

...too. Another highlight for me was watching the Komodo Dragons. Also there is a fantastic oraganutan community - with lots of babies to coo over. The zoo is extremely well run and the animals look happy with lots of space to live in. We spent an entire day at the zoo and took public transport to and from the city centre. The usual smattering of fast food conveniences are too be found and if you should tire of walking in the heat a bus has strategically placed stops in each zone to take you too and from exhibitions. Sentosa Island - this island lies off mainland Singapore and has built up the reputation to be resort away from the main city of Singapore. Again using the extensive public transport routes we spent a day at Sentosa. Unfortunately the cable cars which run between Mount Faber and Sentosa Island were closed when we visited... Read review

...Hey guys, have you ever been to Singapore? Boy it is not a place to be missed. Best time to visit Singapore is November, December, January when its nice and warm. The food is not to be missed specially if you go to the Hocker centre. There are many stalls where you can choose what you want to eat. Thers alot of sightseeing to be done there. Theres a cable car which takes you over to Santosa island. From the cable car you can have the full view of Singapore. There also a night zoo where you go in a train and it takes you around the whole zoo. You can see all the animals. Shopping boy its paradise. Must go to yahan and sogo you'll go crazy.... ...also go diving with the sharks, non divers can do a short dive with the other fish, costs were around $100 Sing I believe. Then on to the highlight of the day for my daughter, which made me very proud as she appreciated the next bit more than the theme parks... the Pink Bottled Nosed Dolphins... okay put aside the arguement over whether having dolphins in a park is right or not, seeing them thrilled my daughter to bits and getting a chance to touch one has her still talking about it 6 months later... Then onto the beach front for a swim in the lagoon before taking the sky train all the way to the cable car we got there in time to take the cable car as the sun was setting over the island and the we made a slight mistake..what ever you do, do NOT take the cable car all the way to Mount Faber in the evening, get off at the mid way stop...
