...It was well worth climbing mount Kinabalu, as it was so unbelieveably beautiful and an experience that will last with me for the rest of my life. However there are some important things you need to note. Firstly, although it is easily possible to climb it in one day, this is only suitable for people extremely fit and used to walking at altitude. Secondly, you need to be careful of conditions such as altitude sickness and also things like asthma which ... ...although you may start off in the boiling hot sunshine at the bottom, the top is much colder and you will need several layers of thick clothing.
However, for me climbing Mt Kinabalu is one of the most worthwhile things you can do in Malaysia, and something you will remember for the rest of your lifes, as both an achievement and also for its pure beauty ...

...Kota Kinabalu (KK) is the capital of Sabah state. Sabah is the on the north of Borneo and Borneo is the third largest island in the world. Kota Kinabalu is famous for its MountKinabalu which is the highest mountain in South East Asia. Most foreigners come to KK to either climb MountKinabalu or to the beautiful islands famous for its scuba-diving and coral reefs.(KK used to be called Jesselton Town)
Hyatt Kota Kinabalu is located next to a shopping mall, Wisma Merdeka. Location wise, it is a good hotel because a major shopping mall is right next to it and within walking distance, you could reach the sunday morning market which is a popular tourist spot.
