The nature of my work requires me to stay in away from home for several weeks of the year so it is important that I stay at quality hotels.
On this ossasion, July 2008, my company booked me into the Mount Herbert Hotel
This is near the Lansdowne Stadium and about 15 mins from where I was working.
I arrived at the hotel at about 7am and the staff on reception were extremely obliginging in allowing me to check in early.
The room I was given was extremely clean and in good conditionand well decorated.
It came with the usual tea and coffee making facilities, which were generously replenished on a daily basis.
There is satelite TV and includes the four main UK chanels
The buffet breakfast, that was included in the room charge, was well cooked and an excellent choice of items was available.

This is an excellent hotel in the Ballsbridge area of Dublin, it is near the Lansdowne DART station about 500 m but you do not hear it from the hotel.
It is also around the corner from Lansdowne Rd Stadium so ideal when concerts and sport are played there next year.
The service in the hotel is excellent from the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave after you check out.
The rooms are in excellent condition clean, they have ensuite facilities.
The breakfast provided is a buffet irish breakfast so handy if you want to have a late lunch and a shealthy breakfast. Cereals, soda bread and fruit are also available. Nothing is too much for the staff here.

George. But the olive wood ornaments purchased by request for friends back home came from the souk. My Nimrod scandals came from a shoe store in Ben Yehuda, but my colorful collection of head scarves came from the souk.

The road to Jerusalem is most commonly by way of a major airline to Ben Gurion airport outside Tel Aviv and by sherut (or shared taxi) from the airport to the city. Reservations for a sherut on arrival are not necessary. A fleet will be waiting. For your return trip, however, ask your hotel to reserve your space and leave plenty of time for airport security.
