Advantages: Gentle, tuneful, experiment al,relaxing, thought provoking,Lyrically sophisticated, just brilliant. Disadvantages: Mellow album which some may dislike, but I think this is what makes it so poignant.
First thought on this album is that this is a great title for an album! But then Mark Linkous (who essentially is Sparklehorse) is known for this. So 'Dreamt for light years in the belly of a mountain' is genuinely a really good album.
Musically it sounds like a melodic documentary of the human body filmed from the inside under water...this is the best way I can describe how the album sounds overall. Songs like 'Shade and honey' really confirm this description I think. Their sound is definitely experimental and 'studio' sounding but has a really nice feel to it that succeeds where bands like 'Air' fail.
Lyrically the album is strong too with many poetic viceral lyrics that are delivered with vocal poise and grace. In terms of sound and lyrics combined, this album is a bit like Smashing Pumpkins 'Gish' album but much more mellow ...
At the start, please let me inform you that I have decided to be as "cagey" as possible in this review, as I do not want to spoil what is a very exciting read. It is, essentially, a Boys Own Paper" style of true, stiring adventure.
The story of the Koh-I-Noor diamond is probably one of the most fascinating stories about any gemstone that you will read. If not THE most fascinating story.

The diamond known as the Koh-I-Noor (the name means "Mountain of Light") is certainly one of the best known of these diamonds from India.
The story that Rushby tells is one of intrigue, of mystery, of greed, and of death. All woven around the tumultuous ...
This next review is on my time on The Blue Mountains National Park, located in Sydney Australia. A few friends and I had decided to hire a van and take a tour of the national park, as we had been recommended it by several people we had met along the way. I am usually a fan of national parks; it gives you a chance to take in the scenic view, it gives you a chance to relax and unwind if you have had a busy week, and you even get to see some wildlife. It?s a great experience, which allows you to camp overnight, whilst also have a magnificent driving experience.
History & Park Info:
The park covers 267,954 hectares, which included several mountains and rivers along the trek. The highest point of the park is Mount Werong (1,215 m), and there are some breathtaking views from the top. The area became a national park in 1932, and ever since ...
