This review is based purely on our holiday to The Tropicana Grand Oasis Resort in November 2009, There are many different hotels in Sharm El Sheikh and different areas some already established and others are up and coming. The Grand Oasis is part of a chain of hotels in the holiday resort of Sharm El Sheikh or Sharm for short. The Grand Oasis is situated 15 minutes transfer from the airport in an area called Sharks Bay.

time we were there. If you ignore them and just get on with enjoying yourself and relaxing, you will be fine but by the end of it we did find ourselves letting doors slam shut behind us without worrying because we had it done to ourselves so many times!
So in short, please don't believe all the bad reviews you read about this hotel. It isn't the most luxurious hotel in the world but for the money we paid for two weeks in an all inclusive resort, it was by no means horrible or the worst place we have visited and I feel that I should really stick up for it because it does seem to have been slated quite a lot.
If you are looking for a proper 5 star luxury hotel with English food, Sky TV 24 hours a day and a home-from-home 'Brits abroad' style environment then don't choose this hotel.
