Mrkonjic Grad is a fantastic town about an hour and a half's drive away from Banja Luka, I have visited it yearly since the war and it really is a nice place to visit. Do not be put off about the war that was some time ago now and things have changed significantly now. There is only one hotel and it is in the centre of town. There are more bars there per an inch, that drinking is not a problem in this town. There are lot's of good Cloths shops and cloths are quite cheep. Remember Yugoslavia was popular holiday destinations for quite some time and lots of people do speak English especially with this now being a British Army Garrison Town. So again you really do not need to worry about your safety here.
There is a very nice natural lake alongside a manmade lake a couple of miles up the road in summer this place is a sun trap and a fantastic place to visit if only for it's stunning beauty. Mrkonjic Grad is a beautiful place to visit and well worth the visit

Sorry to sound petty, but you might want to check your spelling in places.
