Advantages: Caters for all levels, relatively inexpensive, consistent snow season Disadvantages: Access can be a problem, quite far away from Christchurch.
Skiing and boarding in New Zealand was a dream come true for me. Two years ago I visited New Zealand for 3 months during our summer (their winter), and did some travelling. Mount Hutt is the best place I've skiied at. Okay, so my skiing experience is limited to Scotland and another New Zealand resort, Cardrona, but Mount Hutt was the perfect place for me to put what I had spent the previous 6 months learning.
