Mulligans is a fish restaurant in the village of Datchet in Berkshire. The menu is adequate although not extensive or adventurous. My partner and I both had cod, chips and mushy peas.(£10). The chips were perfect and plentiful. The fish, however, was wet inside with greasy flat batter on the outside. Both our cod portions were identical in size, colour etc. I have never before seen such uniformity in battered cod portions. The cod tasted of nothing. I called the waitress, who seemed to be in charge, to our table and asked her if we were eating frozen cod portions. She replied that the fish was fresh. The mushy peas were a brilliant shade of green and were very definately from a tin. I would have called them puree of green peas! The pudding was fantastic. Our waiter was a delightful young man and we left him a tip as the quality of the food was not his fault.

Hello and a very warm welcome to Ciao. As a first review this actually has the makings of a good review, it is well written and your opinion comes over well. However, the reason that this is getting rather low rates is that vital information is missing here - the comments below are completely valid AND we (not knowing the place) have no idea at all where it is or how to find it. Such information needs to be in a review like this. Please let me know (in my guest book) if you edit this review with further information - I'll happily re-rate it for you. Richard.
