Mumbai, the commercial capital of India,is one of my favourite cities situated on the Arabian Sea and surrounded by the Western Ghat hills.
It is the capital of the state of Maharashtra and situated on the western borderline of India. In fact, the city is formed by islands on the coastline.
The climate is tropical and temperate and is endowed with monsoon rains.
The city's business and industrial levels are high....naturally employment level is high and attracts capital investments from all over the world.
Obviously,Mumbai atrracts allsorts of communications and is connected by railroads to every corner of the country.Sahar international airport is the seat of all major international airlines for their eastern/western flights out of India.
Mumbai boasts of numerous luxury hotels of international standards with befitting multicuisine restaurants and coffee shops. It has several openings for enjoying nightlife.
Numerous shopping plazas welcome tourists with imported and indigenous merchandise, unique in the eastern hemisphere.
Places worth visiting are:-'Gateway of India',Appolo Bunder,Elephanta caves,Juhu and Chowpatty beaches,Marine Drive also known as
'Queens Necklace' because of glittering electric lights along the arc,Water sports arena etc., and numerous other spots.
Mumbai is the film capital of India,as well, and is the seat of the largest film industry in the world.
It should be in the itinerary of every tourist and should be a stopover for those flying to the Far
East,Australia,New Zealand,Japan/Middle east,
Europe,USA and Canada.
