O'zapft is!
Advantages: too many to mention here! Disadvantages: often overcrowded, but if you know how to escape it it's not that bad
...200 carnie businesses at the Oktoberfest, more than 80 of them fun rides. I will, however, only describe some of them as of course I couldn't give them all a try.

Top Spin Fresh
My favourite ride - it consists of a passenger platform that is suspended between two arms which are turned by motors so that the platform will rotate. If you don't want to get completely wet you should try to get a seat in the second row, as there you ... ...different swing carousels on the Oktoberfest, the best known one probably the "Wellenflug". The rides last between 3 and 5 minutes and cost around 3 € (ca. £ 2.45) - something I loved as a child and still enjoy!
Big Wheel
Of course with its height of only 50m the Big Wheel that we have on the Oktoberfest cannot keep up with the world's other big wheels like the Beijing Great Wheel or the London Eye - but it nevertheless offers a great view over ...

BMW museum
Advantages: Very interesting Disadvantages: na
Apart from being the country of sausages, Germany is also famous for cars which are of very good quality. One of the most well known brands is of course BMW(Bavarian Motor Works) and a visit to the museum of the firm in Munich will definitely appeal to car lovers. Just round the corner from the Olympic park, the museum contains exhibits of many of their well-known and most advancedly designed models. Apart from being a showroom, the place also serves ... ...and car technology. There are many games and exhibit that detail the mechanism and theory behind the design of the car-very informative and intreresting. You also have the change to try out some of the experiments available. I personally liked this part of the museum very much and i do appreciate the effort and research the firm put into the design of the car- definitely raise my interest of getting one myself. Apart from cars, another part of the ...

Munich Airport MUC
Advantages: Excellent gateway to the Bavaria Disadvantages: Huge, impersonal Airport, which is still under construction

KLM Check in was a bit hampered, on presentation of my KLM frequent flyer card the system went haywire and closed down, this took some 15 mins to resolve, however, once through passport control we quickly found our assigned gate, the aircraft was already on the airbridge and waiting for the ramp staff to begin ... ...flying into and out of Munich (MUC), much better than the old Airport, but then I guess I could have been lucky, and things could have been much worse...I would certainly be happy going back to Munich again and in fact will be using that gateway in the future many times as I will be visiting Bavaira on business quite frequently.. ...

Hofbrauhaus
Advantages: Very good beer-served in the huge one litre glass Disadvantages: No
...to go is definitely the Hofbrauhaus or the Royal Brewery. It is one of the best and the oldest beer hall in Munich. In November 1921, Hitler's storm troops first gained notoriety in what became known as the Battle of Hofbrauhaus. It is a must-go place for tourist and it's worth trying the tradiational beer there served in a one litre beer glass-another good photo opportunity. They do all the typical beer in the area such as the weibier ( a light ... ...like the weibier with a milder taste. The food there is not exceptional but the beer is excellent, kind of make up for it.Having dinner and beer is this busy beer hall, with the lively atmosphere, is a very good experience. One litre of beer is a lot and after the dessert, I was completely full!! I had to drag myself back for an early rest for the next day!! ...
