Advantages:	central location in Europe, cultural center of Bavaria, link to many other major european cities, beer, beer, beer !  !  !
Disadvantages:	Maybe a tad more expensive than the outskirting cities .   And if you aren't here for the beer .  .  .  .

Munich, or Muenchen as the locals call it, is a great place to be in. An even better place if you're a beer lover, as there are many beerhalls in the central city centre of Munich. Shopping is good in Munich as well, with many shops in the city center, however one should always be careful about the prices, since charges are quite varied in different shops. Remember the Marienplatz at 11am and 5pm every day where the Glockenspiel chimes and the figures move round it. It's Munich's biggest tourist attraction after the Beerhalls probably. Outside Munich, there's Nymphenburg Castle where one can go for walks and tour the castle. Also another haunt for beer lovers. The English garden is lovely with it's chinese pagoda in the middle of the garden. So why is it called the English Garden? Oh well, beats me. Anyway, if you're serious about your beer drinking, then Oktoberfest is the right time for you to go to Munich. 2 weeks of pure unadulterated beering drinking and German oompa-bands. Gotta just love it!!! Hate the hangovers though....
