Advantages: looks quite modern from outside Disadvantages: mediocre facilities, unsuitable for transit
Munich Airport (MUC) is being transformed into Germany's No. 2 hub for intercontinental airtravel beside Frankfurt, but fails to serve the most basic needs of transit passengers. Originally built to host point-to-point flights from and to Bavaria, German flag carrier Lufthansa has subsequently moved transit connections to MUC since 1996 when Germany's then No. 2 airport, Düsseldorf, suffered a severe set-back after a large fire. Advantages: good road signs, connected to 24h public transport, beautiful architecture, fast service Disadvantages: the way from terminal F to the train

As an arriving passenger you won't have any problems in getting your luggage or finding your way out. The system (usually) works quite fast.
If you need a taxi - no problem ... ...Munich. Critics once said that Munich airport is the only airport that can only be reached via plane.
If you travel from Munich the advantage is on your side. Huge Signs overhead the road show the exact location of the airline check-ins so the driver can drop you off right in front of the door. Except during high season you'll not see any queues anywhere.
Once you're through the passport check you have a choice of duty-free shops, cafés and hundreds ...
