Advantages: Location, peace and quiet, restaurant is good. Disadvantages: Services are not at par
...An average hotel. Definitely not value for money.
Rooms:
Standard rooms cost 800 rs and "Deluxe" ones cost 950 rs. However the difference between the two is only of a couple of square feets. Both rooms have the wash basin built in the room (not in the bathroom). Both, in my opinion, are overpriced. I guess Munnar is generally expensive (and overbooked) during peak season. The last time I was in Munnar the town was similarly costly.
The hotel is built on a slope, with the price of the rooms going up with the floors of the rooms. Hence these two types of rooms are practically in the "basement" of the building offering a view of a heap of rubble and the next resort. Probably the higher rooms offer a better view of Devikulam (where the hotel is located). By the way there is no elevator in the hotel.
Amenities:
Toileteries were very limited...

Advantages: Cant think of any. There are better hotels at better prices in Munnar town Disadvantages: Nothing is good.
...Hi All,
We visited Munnar last week for our project party and stayed in Autumn trees. After staying there just for one night i was fully fed up with the quality of rooms and service that the hotel provides.
We had booked five deluxe (so called) rooms in the hotel. each room costs about 950 bucks (pretty costly for the service and quality). We had planned to reach Munnar early morning and so the deal was struck with the check in time being 6 am. When we reached there at 6 am we were told that none of the rooms were free. It was shocking. After much delay at around 7.30 am we were given 2 uncleaned rooms for freshening up (rooms were in pathetic condition and we were 14 ppl). The management told us that the cleaning ladies would come only after 8.30 am and so we will have to manage with those rooms only. We somehow adjusted freshened up...

Advantages: None Disadvantages: Indecent staff, unacceptable behaviour, pathetic service, poor rooms with bad odour, horrible food
...available, and there are no hospitals that work round the clock.
We were new to Munnar, and not aware of the hospitals / doctors. This awareness is a basic expectation from hotels (if they are meant to provide service).
Finally around 5 AM, the pain was unbearable, and my family helped me out of the hotel, and we drove back to the bus station, to find to our surprise that TATA GENERAL HOSPITAL works 24 hours, and doctors were indeed available. My condition was bad, and i was admitted immediately in the emergency, and hospitalized for more than a day.
When we came back to Hotel Hillview, to my unpleasant surprise, i found the Reservation Manager, wanting us to checkout immediately, when we had not seen Munnar at all. He initially admitted the fact that they provided wrong and misleading information and risking the guest's life there by. However...

I stayed at the Tulip Inn (Trafford Centre) early in August as the Arctic Monkeys were playing at Lancashire Cricket Ground.
When we arrived the car park was quite full but had plenty of spaces, even though the hotel very obviously very busy.
