When Muse came onto the scene with their debut album they were dismissed by some as a Radiohead clone. Yes there was a vocalist with a big vocal range, the songs were a bit off kilter and not in the norm, and there were some weird sounds. So what? With their second album Origin of Symmetry Muse proved that they rock harder than Radiohead.
Now we have Absolution, the third studio album and after a 9/10 score from the NME it?s safe to say that Muse are on the up once again. I?ve been listening to the album for a few weeks now and bought it yesterday. It?s already growing on me and fans of their previous records won?t be disappointed.

From the outset with first single Uprising, the tone is set. The lyrics are heaving with paranoia and the crowd-pleasing, pounding beats set us up for a wild ride. Resistance tugs the heartstrings with Matt Bellamy declaring ?Love is our Resistance? to the frantic drums of Dom Howard. As if it wasn?t clear enough from the opening track, Muse are back.

Every song on this album is different bringing a new scene to your life with every song. I personally listen to theis album constantly much more than any other albums of muses and other artists as i am a big music fan i can tell you it is worth the money. I got mine off ebay because i couldnt find it anywhere and needed it so i didnt pay much really but i would have payed 20+ pounds for it because i believe it is that good. Iyt is so good that i am studing it as part of my school music course. The style changes it has alternative, rock, heavy and classical sides in it.
