The Painter.
Joaquín Sorolla was a great Spanish painter who was born in Valencia (my city!!) in 1863 and died in 1923, after a long illness.
He started as an apprentice of the well-known sculptor José Capuz, ... ...shown in the best museum in the world such as "El Prado" in Madrid.
His success was not only in Spain, in fact he was, for example, signed up by the Hispanic Society in New York in order to paint some pictures of people in Spanish traditional clothing.
His style is the Impresionism, but his paintings have an evident influence of the Realism.
