Now the tours are done in English and Spanish which is fantastic for those of us who cannot speak fluent Spanish. This would cost you 333 peso which is £10 per person and I found this to be extremely cheap for a really splendid building. Each morning as well outside the doors they have a Military daily flag ceremony where they lower the flags and do a march and then raise them again very nice to witness.
Another really nice place is named the MuseoTorresGarcia and this is a museum dedicated to the greatest painter ever ...

Well,today i'm going to write about the "museo del prado".
All those have been in Madrid, know that this museum is considered one of the best museums of Europe as Spanish painting.
I am from Madrid, and i have been in this museum very many times and even so I do not get tired to go. If you travel to Madrid I recommend to you to visit it,because is very important.
-----------Collections----------------
-Spanish paintings from 1110 to 1850.
This are my favorite collection, because it represents the 70 % of the museum.Some famous pictures are "Las meninas" of Velazquez.
-Flemish and dutch paintings from 1430 to 1700.
The best picture for me is "the three Graces" of Peter Paul Rubens.
-Italian Paintings from 1300 to 1800.
-French paintigns from 1600 to 1800.

We go to "PRISO 24 DE LA INTENDENCIA", we take a panoramic lift to reach the terrace from where we can have a breathtaking view of the whole Montevideo, from the bay to downtown with its parks and "Ramblas".
Montevideo is an array of old (18th century) and new (very modern skyscrapers) without many interests for those people that are looking for history, art and architecture. A full visit will take only two days.
