The Museum on the Mound is a museum located slap bang in the middle of Edinburgh that is all about money. It tells the history of money, covering everything from crime to the making of it and its crowning glory is the million pounds in real bank notes that you can see in it. My children had been to the "bank museum" with granny and grandad before, and when we had a free afternoon in the Easter Holidays, we decided to pop along. The Museum is based under the HQ of what is now Lloyds Banking Group, which is at the top of the Mound leading between the Royal Mile and Princes Street.
