It’s not a huge museum but the exhibits are informative and well maintained. A good knowledge of German is recommended as there are limited copies of the English guide and this does not translate all labels, merely the main ones. It’s also assumed that the guests will have background knowledge of what the Stasi was.

The location is easily accessible from the city centre, however, the museum itself is up a flight of stairs and not very disabled friendly. The museum is set in the old Stasi headquarters which adds a certain degree of authenticity.
It’s not a huge museum but the exhibits are informative and well maintained.
