The city centre is easily walkable from the main SBB railway station. If you like you can hire a bike or scooter free from a cabin outside the station (there is another rental point in the town). You have to pay a deposit and leave ID (eg a Passport) but this is all refunded. You can if you want use the extensive tram or trolleybus system. The no 12 trolleybus takes in the main shopping street, the bear pit (which is a tourist hub) and winds up at the Paul Klee ArtMuseum. If you buy...

Advantages: Good value, compact, safe and lots of places of interest Disadvantages: Might not suit someone wanting exciting night-life
...Bern must be one of the best kept secrets in Europe when it comes to selecting a destination for a city break.
Transferring from Zurich Airport was simplicity itself, as the airport station has a direct, express service to Bern which takes about 75 mins.Even with an 8 month old baby and buggy, the journey was stress-free, as our luggage was delivered directly to our hotel from the airport and vice-versa on the return journey.
Our package on a 6 night stay with Kuoni was tremendous value, considering we were staying in one of the city's 5 Star Hotels, The Schweizerhoff, which is within easy walking distance of Bern's subterranean railway station.
Bern is clean, safe and easy to get around. If you buy a travel pass, this covers transport on bus, tram , train and even steamer, if you wish to travel further afield.
Contrary to the perceived...

For months I’ve mused over buying one of Benefit’s body products. I’m already such a make-up devotee of theirs that I’ve assumed that their body products must be every bit as wonderful. But although I’ll happily splash out £20+ quid on a base, blusher or more
When I bought my ghd hair straighteners I thought I would splash out and buy some of the hair products to match. One of the products I bought was 'Ghd Thermal Protector for Normal-Fine Hair'.

This is the latest digita camera I have and I must say this is a very good camera. The best feature of this camera is definitely the lens, which offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 27-486mm, which allows both wide angle shooting and also extreme... more
