I went to my local Going Places to book a holiday for my girlfriend and myself to the Dominican Republic. This was our first trip away together and i wanted it to be special. The sales assistant was wonderful and did a great job of selling My Travel's 'upgrade' for both flights.
As the day approached i became more excited about the prospect of 'being provided with first class facilities and service' which i supposed made the fall all that more painful.
I will start with the leg room, i am 6 foot 4 and when i usually fly i book in advance an exit seat or the seat near the seperaters to provide me with adequate leg room. With My Travel's 'gold section' i had less room than i did flying to Sweden with a budget airline.
Next the service.. As the elite cusomters we were served first with regards to food and drink, but we not fortunate enough to have our own Air Hostesses. So by the time the returned we had been sat in our own dirt for 30 minutes.
On the return flight the customer service desk allowed anybody to check in with at our 'express check-in' desk which meant we were stuck in queues for long periods of time.
We had the exact same problems on the return flight and will not be flying with My Travel again.
