Myhotel Bloomsbury, London

Advantages: lovely rooms, great restaurant
Disadvantages: noisy road

...I sent my parents to this hotel whilst in London seeing a show. The room was £185 for the night, it was a superior double room. Breakfast was included which they said was delicious. They ate in the hotel reataurant and again really enjoyed it. To people travelling to London i would recommend, however a couple of disadvantages are as follows 1) a room above the 2nd floor is a must as the hotel is on a very busy road. 2) if going to see a show in the west end then i would recommend using the tube as taxis were very expensive 3)the rooms are not that big so possible best for just one or two nights stay. The room was very clean and had the added bonus of having a plasma screen on the wall!!! all in all a nice treat and would book again for a couple on the town.... Read review

...Visitors to London often visit The British Museum but forget to explore around the streets of Bloomsbury. Museum Street just oppositeThe British Museum has pretty little pavement cafes and antique book shops and craft shops. In Coptic Street, just around the corner is Pizza Express which serves lovely freshly made Pizzas or if you prefer something different try The Dutch Panacake House just arounf the corner near Holborn Tube Station. Just a short busride on the Number 73 0r Number 10 bus and you are in the middle of Oxford St for all the fantastic shops or just a short stroll away is Tottenham Court Rd with all its great home stores such as Heales etc and all the bargain electrical stores where you can knock the price down if you are brave.... ...My partner and I, along with a small group of friends decided to book a weekend away in London through a local coach company and were placed at The Holiday Inn – Bloomsbury for our two night stay. We paid £105 for two nights including our coach travel to and from London. When we arrived we were impressed by the exterior and found the hotel lobby / reception area to be light, airy, contemporary and inviting. Check in was swift considering they had a couple of coach loads to attend to and the staff were very polite and friendly. We were then given a key (well a card) and room numbers and went to our rooms to get settled in. We were all quite excited albeit a bit hot and bothered as the journey had been quite a long one (we were travelling from East Yorkshire).
