Well in 1995 and 1996 I was working in South Carolina with INA Bearing Company Ltd. I enjoyed my stay in this beautiful southern state very much and would love to move there one day.Especially the southern hospitality is one thing I like the most about that part of the country. The beach is great, too. White Sands and going on for miles and miles. Lifeguards are patrolling there and it is really safe there to swim, but sorry, no Bay(Babe)watch... In the evening there are lots of things you can do. Go to a club, go and play mini golf, etc. So you see, I love that place too, and I recommend it for everybody not just for spring break. It will be pretty hot there come july or august, but hey, itīs summer and the south, it is supposed to be hot there.
OK,I guess that was it once again, see you later Marc (Superfly25)
Advantages: A never ending amount to see Disadvantages: The summer crowd
...drive the 2-hour drive to Myrtle Beach. Here it seemed like a fantasy for my brother and me. Everywhere we looked we could see amusement parks, beaches, and restaurants as far as the eye could see. Myrtle Beach quickly became our favourite city of choice for vacations, as we could never afford to go to Disney Land, and it was too far to drive.
The Accommodation there is cheap and mostly on the beach, I have stayed at the Holiday Inn and I found ... ...beach.
The nightlife at Myrtle Beach is one of the best! There are lots of other restaurants to visit with great food, but you can get stack in long lines if you visiting during summer time. There are some dinner theatres: "Alabama Theatre", "The Carolina Opry House", "The Dixie Stampede". There is something there for everyone. You could stay a week and you will not see everything that is there to do. There are a lot of nightclubs private parties ...

Advantages: fun for all, hundreds of shops and eateries, beautiful beaches Disadvantages: none at all!
Myrtle Beach...wow! What a great time we had here when visiting in October 2007. We booked the Breakers Resort online and were not expecting much as we only paid $50/ Ģ25 a night. The resort exceeded our expectations by miles! The rooms were spacious and clean, with a kitchenette attached- great for eating on a budget. The balcony over-looked the beach and the pool. From the room, we only had to go down in the elevator to reach the indoor and outdoor ... ...is in the centre of Myrtle Beach and is a great entertainment complex, including shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and more. Take the time to feed the fish. It may sound like a simple thing but the sheer number of fish fighting for the food is hysterical. Children and big kids alike will be highly entertained. The cinema complex has cheap tickets for matinee shows of local films.
If you get a chance to catch a gig when at Myrtle Beach, I would recommend ...

Reviews which might be of interest for "Myrtle Beach"
Advantages: Weather, beaches, 3 or 4 great cities Disadvantages: depends what you like, can be quiet, rednecks etc
Here is my review on the state where I have lived the last two years, South Carolina. I am a student at university in South Carolina and one of my main reasons for choosing South Carolina was its excellent weather, history and some excellent cities nearby.
The state has two types of people. Those from the bigger cities such as Columbia which is the state capital, Charleston, MyrtleBeach, Hilton Head and so on. Then there just as many very small town folk who are very southern and very redneck. To live permanently in the state would be a big shock for many people but to visit, South Carolina is a great place. Flying into SC, you can fly into Atlanta which is about a 3 hour drive to get in the state. FLying into Charlotte in NC is about 1hr from Columbia. Or fly into any of the cities below, or Savannah, Ga which is close to Hilton ...
Advantages: A diverse mix of the old South and twenty first century neon Disadvantages: I-85 and some city driving
the world, many to see it's famed architecture - antebellum mansions stand as they did more than a century ago. Horse drawn carriages will give a guided tour to those who wish to see the city this way. Could this be the city where a certain dance began over a century ago? Its international airport receives flights from all over Europe every day but is not as hectic as some of the other major airports in the US.
MyrtleBeach is on the Eastern seaboard, with the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean gently nudging its shores. The sandy beaches regularly draw tourists from all over the USA and during Spring Break college students descend on the town for an all out party time.
There is a certain "laid back" style associated with the South that is ever present in South Carolina. The pace is slower, people are friendly and the whole atmosphere ...
Advantages: Old-world charm; the beach; surf; climbing; views Disadvantages: Very crowded in the summer; expensive food and drink
Croyde lies on the North Devon coast, a few miles from Barnstaple to the South East and Ilfracombe to the North East. Most well known for its beach and stunning bay, it's one of those sleepy little time-warp villages that get overrun in the summer by hoards of visitors. Guilty as charged, I have been visiting regularly over the last twenty years.
---Getting there---
If you are coming by car, you need to take the A361 off junction 27 of the M5 (about 50 miles). The Barnstaple by pass opened in 2007, easing congestion to make this a much quicker journey than previously - perhaps this will increase Croyde's popularity, as the last stretch after a long drive used to be a real pain! It is also possible to connect by bus on the hourly service from Barnstaple.
