Having lived in Charleston for most of my life, it only seemed natural for my parents to drive the 2-hour drive to Myrtle Beach. Here it seemed like a fantasy for my brother and me. Everywhere we looked we could see amusement parks, beaches, and restaurants as far as the eye could see. Myrtle Beach quickly became our favourite city of choice for vacations, as we could never afford to go to Disney Land, and it was too far to drive.
The Accommodation there is cheap and mostly on the beach, I have stayed at the Holiday Inn and I found that this hotel was very friendly and right in the centre of everything, including the beach right at out doorstep. I also recommend the "Caribbean Resort Villa," another good hotel on the beach where I have also stayed and it is not really that expensive. There are two huge swimming pools indoor and outdoor - if ocean is too cold to swim in and there is also a lazy river about 300feet long of very nice worm water that moving you around. If you are bored or just not in mood for beach, you always can go to attraction room and play some billiard. The service is awesome and if you get the romantic package, you can also get free breakfast in "The Captain's See House," one of the best restaurants on the beach.
The nightlife at Myrtle Beach is one of the best! There are lots of other restaurants to visit with great food, but you can get stack in long lines if you visiting during summer time. There are some dinner theatres: "Alabama Theatre", "The Carolina Opry House", "The Dixie Stampede".
There is something there for everyone. You could stay a week and you will not see everything that is there to do. There are a lot of nightclubs private parties and bars to visit for people who likes to party. For golfers Myrtle Beach is like golf haven.
There are a lot of golf courses, miniature golf, water parks, amusement parks, shopping, or just the beautiful beach itself to get some sun and relax from your every day life. If you're planning a vacation and have never been to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, it's definitely a place you want to go for your next vocation.
Myrtle Beach is definitely a place to go with families you have everything you could ever imagine. The water parks are amazing with some having 20-50 rides within their walls.
Only one thing I didn't like about Myrtle Beach that is too crowed during summer. The first time I went there was in June right after school year ended and everywhere I went, I had to wait in huge line. But second time I was there in April and let me tell you that spring time is the best time to visit Myrtle Beach: water is not cold any more, you can get some tan and its not very crowded.
So the next time you think about having a vacation go on down to Myrtle Beach as it is by far a great place to visit.
SOME HISTORY
Myrtle Beach was incorporated as a town in 1938 and became a city in 1957. Its name comes from the wax myrtle, a shrub that grows abundantly in the area. Our 25,000 permanent residents welcome millions of visitors to this full-service resort community. Guests come to enjoy the wide beaches, the Atlantic Ocean, and an incredible range of activities, entertainment, golf, shopping and dining.
History records that the first tourists here were a party of Spaniards from Hispaniola, who landed about 50 miles north of present-day Myrtle Beach in 1526 and eventually established the first European settlement in the U.S. about 30 miles to the south. That settlement, San Miguel de Cauldape, was abandoned the following year, though, and the group returned to Hispaniola.
In the next three centuries, the region's population grew, but slowly. In the late 1800s and early 1900s, people began to "vacation" here, although it was quite rustic. Houses and camps were sparse, and there were only few permanent residents at the turn of the century. But, drawn by the ocean, sand and trees, people began to call Myrtle Beach "home" as the 1900s progressed.

Good op, I meet a Girl on Holiday in Orlando a while back, she was from North Carolina and said Myrtle Beach is a great place to visit. If I ever go to one of the Carolina's I'm definitely going.

YT, put United States in the title, and you might get more reads. Not everyone knows where Myrtle Beach is. Also, "definetly" is spelled "definitely". Lots of good detail, though. p
