    Kene-where? Kenema is Sierra Leone's 3rd largest town, one of the country's prettiest, and the capital of the Eastern region. It is about 4 - 5 hours from Freetown but even if you think that is tolerable, it's not an easy trip to make as the government bus runs only once a day (leaving at 6am) and there are no alternatives unless you can flag down an NGO truck and beg a ride (chances greatly improved if you offer to pay). From the nearby city of Bo it's an easy 45 minutes trip by minibus or shared taxi (a standard car takes 6 plus the driver, that's 2 passengers in the front seat, 4 in the ... more
