Advantages beautiful and very clean.
Disadvantages i found none during a 2 week break.
The NH Alanda hotel in Marbella is without doubt one of the best hotels I have stayed in and Marbella itself is a beautiful city.
A holiday in Marbella is always going to be a great holiday but you really can add to your time there by using this hotel.
The NH Alanda hotel with its beautiful pool, four star rating (five in some brochures now I believe) and its 199 rooms looks more like a palace than a hotel. I personally was there in the summer of last year, as we walked in to the outstanding reception area to be greeted by the very friendly staff I was instantly sure I had made a good choice.

The whole apartment was noticeably very clean and we were told unless we stated otherwise would be cleaned every morning at 11 o clock which it duly was. The other winner for me was the well stocked mini bar which until now I had only heard about in hotel rooms never experienced. The drink in the bar we were told was in with the price we had already paid but could be re-stocked at a reasonable price.
As we were on an all inclusive package we were eating at the hotel most nights too and the food was as good as perfect, if you asked for your meal to be prepared in a certain way then it was. I actually got a steak well done, and those of you who have eaten in Spain will know that's not an easy thing to order out there. It also has a beautiful outside eating area although the seating is a bit scarce so you do have to arrive early to make use of it. The menu too was very extensive, not only for evening meals but for lunches and even breakfasts too.Outside of your room this hotel is equally good with its state-of-the-art spa with health and beauty treatments, impressively-equipped fitness room and swimming pools. It also has a very good shopping area and the bar had good entertainment on for the nights when you didn't want to go into town.
Situated right on the beach there really is everything you need, part of the outdoor eating area actually leads on to the beach so take your towels and you can be straight into the sea after breakfast. There is a bus stop right outside the main doors of the hotel which has buses leaving every 20 mins or so which will take you into Marbella old town which for me is the best part of the city, It takes around 15 mins to get there and costs just a few Euros, Well worth a visit.
day view of the hotel
