...I can`t believe that I saw this hotel at ciao.co.uk top products without reviews because I have actually stayed there last month. The taxi from the airport costs 28 euros but keep in mind that they charge for the luggae as well. I think that it was 3 or 4 euros per bag. Bring credit crads with you as they want to swipe it befor you check in. They need to hold some money in case of mini bar usage or some damage to the room. If you don`t have a credit card they want 30 euros cash per day, just as a deposit. The room we were in was really, really noisy. It is good that the hotel is situate really close to the main attractions and sights but it is also on a main road, so you can imagine the noise. Advantages: Location in the Ruhrgebiet

...I lived in Bochum for 9 months whilst studying there and I do have to admit that it's not much to look at, unless you have a particular fetish for concrete and post-war city planning. However, the city not only had a thriving and vibrant night-life located in the so-called Bermuda-Dreieck but its located almost slap-bang in the middle of the Ruhrgebiet, which makes it a great place to base yourself if you want to explore the other Ruhrgebiet cities (Dortmund, Hamm, Essen etc) or even travel further afield to Muenster and Cologne. The Ruhrpark shopping centre means that sadly there isn't much in the city centre but the Stadtgarten, Deutsches Bergbau Museum and Starlight Express are definately worth a visit. Add to that friendly and helpful people and you've got a great place to visit.... Read review

...I was in Bochum three weeks ago. We went by aeroplane to "Dortmund Airport" . Then we drove to Bochum by bus. It is a very nice town. At the first day we went to the musical "starlight express". it is in london, too, but in Germany is it in German and i think it is nicer than in England. At the second day we went to "Ruhrpark Shopping Centre". It is a very big shopping centre with many and CHEAp shops. On the next day we went to another town. Bochum is worth seeing.
