Advantages: History, good food and attractions
Disadvantages: Maybe not geared up for tourism

There are two beautiful pieces of art on the side walls, depicting Jesus, in this small but truly impressive holy place.... actually I am all goosebumps thinking about it as I type.... do go if in Valencia. (It would not be too silly for me to say it is worth going to Valencia, just to see this Basilica!) You go to the Plaza de la Virgen (behind the Cathedral) to see the Basilica which is stunning whether you see the outside in daylight or dark. I liked this plaza the best - it has a lovely statue-water-flowing feature set to one side and cafes all around. Had a really black, tiny coffee there - what a memory. Mercado Central: This old market has been serving Valencia since 1928. It's worth a visit if you like to see a wide variety of what is grown locally - some fruit and veges I had never seen before... Advantages: The Festivity is amazing
Disadvantages: almost the whole city centre is closed to traffic, but we have feet to walk!

...because I have said there's gunpowder around everywhere. You don't know when a firecracker is going to fell close to your feet, or the ashes from the fireworks that literally fall down over your head. You have to be comfortable, and you will be busy enough as to worry about your clothes. By the way, they sell everywhere some big and baggy shirt to put over your clothes to avoid damage. This is handy if you have spent thousands of pounds in your dress, like some falleras do! So be sure you are comfortable and prepared to go, walk and see. Because now you are in Valencia, you can also go and see other things around, like the "City of the Arts and the Sciences", with the biggest oceanographic in Europe; or the entire old historical city. Or even just go shopping, because in Spain some shopping centres close at 10pm (although not all of them... Read review

Advantages: Totally out of this world experience, so much to see and do, great hotels and casinos
Disadvantages: Sleazy in places, a few days isn't long enough to see it all

...a visit. **NEW YORK, NEW YORK** New York, New York is probably one of the most famous Las Vegas hotels and many people are attracted to the hotel because it has been designed to mirror many of the famous parts of New York without the visitor actually having to go there. There is a replica Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and visitors can even take a walk in Central Park. Another top attraction at the New York, New York Hotel is the death defying Manhattan Express roller coaster which takes passengers on a high speed, white knuckle ride around a replica New York. I found the inside of New York, New York quite disappointing by comparison, the shops and restaurants have been set around Sheridan Square and Greenwich Street and it is worth popping in just to see the layout, however, the shops inside are nothing special...
