I arrived on the Dutch National carrier KLM and was quite impressed with our arrival off 24L via the inner taxiway and directly onto the airbridge..quite impressive, from touchdown to unloading was about 4 mins.....
The Airport was quite large, and is in the centre of a Parallell Runway system, very long terminal buildings lead to a maze of corridoors and escalators, however, my arrival was well handled and within 12 mins of landing we were through passport control with baggage and being greeted by our friends from Bavaria
on our return we got the Train to Munich Marionplatz and watched the Glochenspeil, had lunch at the Lowenbrauhaus and caught the S Bahn to the Airport...
KLM Check in was a bit hampered, on presentation of my KLM frequent flyer card the system went haywire and closed down, this took some 15 mins to ...

Advantages: Incredibly powerful drama in places Disadvantages: Takes too long to get anywhere
Munich is a poignant and dramatic, slow-moving Spielberg film that has at its core the effects and fallout from the 1972 Munich Olympic Games massacre. Members of the Israeli Olympic team were taken hostage and eventually killed by a group known as Black September, reported to have ties to a militant group linked to the Fatah organisation.
The film opens with some graphic scenes showing the massacre within the first five or ten minutes, before Spielberg introduces us to the squad of assassins who then plan to hunt down 11 Black September members and kill them as revenge.
It is a very suspenseful and dramatic film, with patience needed throughout. Do not expect a fast paced tense thriller, because that's not what this is about. It's a serious drama, with the suspense the main focal point, and the emotions that the squad must go ...

'In Munich Stands a Hofbräuhaus'?or so, roughly translated, runs one well-known staple of Munich's beerhall sing-alongs. For many who've never visited this charming city (and perhaps, even for a few who have?) this, along with the even better-known Oktoberfest, an event which, to all intents and purposes, is little more than the Hofbräuhaus writ large, condensed into a month & transferred on to a circus ground, is pretty much all that Munich amounts to. Well, it isn't.
MY MUNICH: I lived in Munich for about four years, in the late-seventies and early eighties. My earliest memories of the Hofbräuhaus involve sitting outside it in a parked Mercedes with my two brothers, when I was about six. Our father would drop in to have a beer, or two, with his German work colleagues, leaving us to wait squabbling in the back seat for an hour or so ...
