I have recently moved to London from Manchester and I'm living in the Islington area.
I'm into football, music, cinema and going out. I'm looking for a band to join so that I can get my bass guitar out from under my bed again.

This hotel was billed as one of the best in Havana, so I booked it for the last three nights of my holiday to make sure I ended on a high note.
It was the most 'western' of all of the hotels in which I stayed. It has all the hallmarks of a good quality European hotel, with the obligatory display of marble in the lobby and really good quality, clean rooms that are very well maintained.
It is clearly a sign of quality that there seemed to be quite a lot of airline staff staying there at the time that we visited.
The rooftop pool is a real plus, because the hotel is right in the middle of Havana, close to the Capitol building. While it's not right in the heart of the old town, it's close enough for a short walk and there are plenty of taxis right outside to take you anywhere you want to go.
There are two drawbacks with the Parque Central. Firstly it is a tiny bit soulless. Secondly it attracts beggars and scammers, because it's the most expensive hotel in Havana. However, most of the scams are fairly obvious and fairly benign. The locals know that they will be in big trouble with the police if they cause any actual harm.
However, I was certainly glad that I chose to end my holiday there and it was definitely worth the extra expense to guarantee that the trip finished in a clean, well equiped, luxury hotel.
