For my first opinion on Ciao UK i choosed something I know perfectly, Namur.
First I would like to mention that english is far to be mymother tongue and that I'm writing here to improve my english. So don't judge me too hard, but don't hesitate to post any comment on BIG errors.
Okay just go on with the real subject now.
Namur is in Belgium, I bet you all know where Belgium is. So I won't explain you how to get in Belgium.
Namur is the headcity of Wallonia ( Belgium is dived in two main areas, Flandria and Wallonia, In Wallonia we speak french and in Flandria, they speak Dutch ).
The first thing you notice when ariving in Namur, is its castle, on top of the city, dominating it. That's really a good place to visit, cause thats full of nice history facts. More there is a little perfume enterprise quite famous, its name is "Guy Delforges". You may also visit it. Around the castle, you may wander during hours among nice and old trees but also some lovely place where ou will be able to get a spectacular view on the whole city.
Than it is time to visit the heart of Namur. You must know that Namur is a really old town, it appeared 10 centuries ago approximatively. So in the center, there is some old houses and "buildings". In this part of the town, you could of course admire the street and the style of the buildings but you can also shop. Yes, Namur is nice for shopping, there are lot of commercial streets where you can find nearly all that you wish.
If you want to have a break, you will be able to have drink in any of the numerous "pub" available, mainly in the medieval part of the city.
Of course, I can't really speak of the hotels as I don't feel concerned by them and won't use hem normally.
There are lots of good restaurant of all kinds, Italians, Asians, French and of course Belgian ones.
Of course as in all trip, it is better, in my opinion, to come here during summer. Cause as you all know, weather in belgium is not so nice that we could hope. So ... just during summer, that's not so bad I will say even if it could be better most of the time !
If you plan to have a trip in here, don't hesitate to drop me a message on Ciao and we could see together if ou are interested in meeting me and have a free guide for the day ;)
Thanks for your attention.

Bonne op et bienvenue a ciao. (Good op and welcome to ciao). Sorry I'm just a show off :). I went to Brussels last year and it snowed, so I know what you mean about the weather, don't worry about your English.
1. At least you've made the effort and written a fair amount.
2. Its probably better than any French effort I could make. :)
