Pompeii - a wonderful experience

Advantages: A incredable must see location.
Disadvantages: Very tiring in hot weather

...day of our excursion to Pompeii was very hot - and I must advise you to wear a hat, take suncream/lotion and take plenty of water ( as much as you can carry) with you if you visit as there is not many places to find shelter from the blistering heat; I would also add that if you are not too good on your feet this may not be the visit for you, the ground is uneven and it is a long and tiring visit, you certainly need decent comfortable walking shoes. ...

Humpty Dumpty should fall from here

Advantages: Great historic place to visit

UP POMPEII

Advantages: Amazingly well preserved (like me)
Disadvantages: None

...the way to the forum...at Pompeii (see what I did?), we were stuck in a traffic jam whilst traveling along the autostrada from Naples. What could have caused this delay...that's right, a crash. So, to while away the tedium, we decided to count the cars without dents or scratches. There was ours, that was 1, and maybe another 2...maybe not. Vesuvius Is Just Sleeping Not Dead

Advantages: Amazing Views-Well Worth The Climb
Disadvantages: It's A Fair Walk To The Top
