Be aware!! In August of 2007 I arranged a car renting in Ofran Holiday Company with their supplier National/Alamo Car rentals. I picked up the car at FLUGHAFEN ERDING MUENCHEN office of the company (Munich Airport). After the trip, we came to the Airport in advance and filled up the car tank at Agip Gas Station at the Airport area. I filled up 17.21 liters: the tank was FULL. We made a light meal at the same station and in half an hour dropped off the car on return car area giving the keys to a driver who collects National/Alamo cars. I was very satisfied that returned the car with FULL TANK OF FUEL. I was very surprised to find that the National Car Rental at FLUGHAFEN ERDING MUENCHEN charged me 184.93 Euro for 60 liters of fuel (this is the capacity of the fuel tank)! I sent them the receipt of the Gas Station at the Airport area where I filled up the fuel half an hour before returning and ask them to explain how is possible to expend even only 17.21 liters of the fuel in about half an hour. I received no response from them. Don’t rent cars from National/Alamo Car Rental!

I do aplogise for this mistake. The branch have actually confirmed the the
notes to your rental agreement, that the vehicle was returned with a full
tank. I have of course refunded the fuel charge of 184.93 Euro back to your
credit card.

That's an expensive way to learn that you should always stay with the rental company and get them to check the fuel and damage before you leave the office. These bastards will take advantage of you if you don't. Very unlucky.
